2003
Sprint (NYSE: FON, PCS), which operates the largest
all-digital, all-CDMA Third-Generation (3G) wireless network
in the United States, and Coleman Technologies, Inc. (CTI),
announced an agreement to provide nationwide availability of
GPS-enabled tracking and mobile access routing solutions via

provides customized logistics-related hardware and software
solutions to large commercial organizations that may have
unique system requirements. CTI provides a large reseller
with a fleet management wireless based GPS vehicle tracking
solutions that manage driver time and delivery/route
exceptions. Finally, CTI offers a mobile access router
solution that provides IP mobility to mobile local area
networks such as those found in law enforcement vehicles or
military systems. All systems utilize the enhanced Sprint
Nationwide PCS Network, which provides advanced wireless
coverage to more than 240 million people across the nation.
"PCS TelemetrySM Services are an attractive option for
customers looking to enable real-time transmission of
information from machines to a central location," said Phil
Bowman, vice president of business marketing for the PCS
Division of Sprint. "Our agreement with Coleman Technologies
allows Sprint to better meet the needs of the mobile
workforce, especially in vertical markets such as public
safety and mobile asset management."
"The speed and coverage of the enhanced Sprint Nationwide
PCS Network provides customers with a more robust platform
for telemetry services versus older technologies such as
CDPD," said James Thomas, Director of Electronics Systems
Group of Coleman Technologies. "Working with Sprint enables
us to provide mobile asset productivity enhancement
solutions to a larger, more diverse set of customers."

About
Coleman Technologies
Coleman Technologies, Inc. is an
employee owned business founded in 1995 to provide computer
networking and Internet services building on corporate and
employee experience in aerospace systems engineering
services. By building on the rigors of aerospace systems
engineering, CTI provides a differentiated level of service
over its competitors. CTI's corporate offices are in
Orlando, Florida and currently employs over
80 individuals.
CTI also has offices in Tampa, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale,
Tennessee as well as supports projects in other cities. CTI
focuses on industries with large scale, distributed
networking needs, such as healthcare, utilities, national
commercial, and regional governmental organizations. In
these industries we have found that elusive mix of a
customer with (1) a technically challenging problem, (2) the
desire to see that problem solved correctly, and (3) the
financial resources to solve the problem. We have also found
fortuitous timing in working with these organizations. CTI
has also leveraged the network engineering expertise, and
made recent advances in miniaturized GPS receivers and
communication devices to produce the Advanced GENeration
Tracker (AGenT). This device is a small, lightweight, highly
capable GPS-based tracking device for law enforcement and
commercial fleet management applications. A key feature of
the AGenT family of products is the use of an imbedded micro
controller separating communication operations for GPS
tracking. This allows a flexible communication architecture
supporting cellular (AMPS), radio modem (RAM - Mobitex),
CDPD, the all-digital CDMA/1xRTT networks and line-of-sight
unlicensed RF technologies. |
